CAPE FEAR SOLERA ( 750 ) 750ML

Our arduous Solera aging process began in 2015 with vertical tiers of three charred oak whiskey barrels. In the Solera method, after one year, half of the contents of the bottom barrels are removed, bottled and replaced with aged whiskey from the barrels immediately above, which are then topped off with half of the contents of the top barrels. New whiskey is then added only to the top barrels. This cascading continues and only the oldest whiskey from the bottom “ground” barrels, or Solera, is bottled.

In 2021, we’re proud to release this wonderfully smooth and consistently complex Solera 2015 whiskey, a product of our deliberate five-year aging process. We believe you’ll find this very rare whiskey delightful to taste, and filled with the love that can only be brought to you by a small batch distillery like Cape Fear Distillery!
