Talley Vineyards

The 2006 Rosemary's Vineyard Chardonnay exhibits aromas of lemon zest, toasted nuts and a touch of oak. On the palate this wine is round with great acidity and a vibrant mineral structure that leads into a clean, long finish. This chardonnay is a perfect complement to grilled shellfish, Portobello mushrooms and a saffron-lemon sauce.

Wine Enthusiast

Talley’s Rosemary’s typically is one of the greatest, most dependable Chardonnays in California. The 2006 upholds that distinguished tradition. It’s dry and balanced, with a mineral undertone that grounds the flamboyant pineapple custard, lemondrop and lime pie flavors. Feels ultra-distinguished and elegant despite the richness. Now through 2010.

Score: 95. —Steve Heimoff, February 01, 2009.

Wine Spectator

Delicate and focused, with lemon-citrus, green apple and floral scents that are sleek and minerally. Medium-weight, this makes points for its textural delicacy. Drink now through 2013. 252 cases made.

Score: 91. —James Laube, 2009.

Wine Advocate

The 2006 Chardonnay Rosemary’s Vineyard (fewer than 500 cases produced) exhibits a pronounced nose of orange blossoms, honeyed citrus, white currants, and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied with good acidity and a subtle touch of oak, it will drink well for 2-3 years.

Score: 90. —Robert Parker, December 2008.
