John Duval
Dense ruby purple color. Youthful nose of blackberry, blueberry fruit complexed with savoury French oak. Rich and generous with good concentration of dark fruit. Tannins are fine, ripe and balanced. The structure has restrained power but remains elegant and finishes with excellent fruit intensity.
Wine Spectator
A beautiful evocation of plum and blackberry balanced against a veil of creamy oak--but only a veil. It's the fruit that distinguishes the long, expressive finish. Shiraz. Best from 2009 through 2017.

Wine Advocate
The 2005 Entity is 100% Shiraz, 100% barrel-fermented in 45% new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it delivers a nearly ethereal perfume of smoky oak, spice box, pencil lead, meat, game, violets, and blueberry muffin. Full-bodied yet surprisingly elegant, this Shiraz has superb balance, great depth, layers of flavor, and a very long, pure finish. It will surely evolve for 6-8 years but few will be able to delay their gratification.

Wine Enthusiast
Tight and oaky at first, but this gradually opens with air to reveal copious blueberry and blackberry aromas and flavors. Vanilla and spice accent the primary fruit, while the tannins are supple, imparting a creamy mouthfeel. Long on the finish. Despite its youthful drinkability, this wine should age through at least 2015.

Screw Cap

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
