This is a complex wine with lingering aromas and flavors of canteloupe, green apple and caramelized sugar. Hints of nutmeg and clove play out on the lush, refined finish.

Big, bright and round, with a buttery, oaky mix of tropical fruits and plenty of sweet, toasty oak. Very well made in a rich, round, approachable style.

Wine Advocate
Though the Wine Advocate has been bellowing it for years, it is worth repeating: Columbia Crest is the source of some of the finest values in the world. I am awestruck that winemaker Ray Einberger and his team can produce such quality in industrial-size quantities. For example, the 2003 Chardonnay Grand Estates (225,000 cases!) reveals delightful aromatics of vanilla bean and ripe pear. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine is broad, spicy, and silky-textured. Its vanilla, spice, and white fruit flavors linger in its appealingly supple and pure finish. Drink this awesome value over the next 1-2 years.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
