La Casa Vinicola Canella was established in September 1947 by Luciano Canella, who is still at the helm today joined by his 4 children, Monica, Nicoletta, Lorenzo and Alessandra.
Luciano Canella was the son of the owners of a bar in San Donà di Piave (30 km north east of Venice) and was responsible for the wine supplies. Upon discovering his interest for good wine, he concentrated on recognising quality.

The love for his home territory encouraged him to deal solely with the typical wines of the area straddling the provinces of Venice and Treviso: Verduzzo and Prosecco wines in particular.
